This influential novel, written during the last years of Sterne's life (he lived from 1713-1768; the novel was first published in 1765) was extremely popular, establishing travel writing as the dominant genre of the latter portion of the eighteenth-century. This limited edition is a wonderful example of the novel, with new illustrations by Denis Tegetmeier.
