Some mild rubbing to spines and corners, a few spots of soiling or minor wear to covers, a few pages creased at upper corner in volume I, and rear hinge of volume II has a minor tear near the top. Still, this is a bright, near fine set of Wordsworth’s writings on political, ethical, critical and literary topics.

William Wordsworth (1770-1850) was a major English Romantic poet, who helped to launch the Romantic Movement, along with Samuel Taylor Coleridge. His poetry was so successful and influential that he was England’s Poet Laureate from 1843 until his death. His major works include The Prelude, “I wandered lonely as a cloud,” and “The world is too much with us.” His prose works are of a humanist vein, as he champions the poor and the downtrodden.
