Octavo 356 pp. Title in red & black. With 11 plates (one in red & black). Original boards, later paper spine and label. Small hole to fly-leaf from early owner’s wax seal, some light scattered foxing, otherwise a very good copy, with contemporary ownership inscriptions.

First edition. Greswell (bap. 1765-1854) was a bibliographer and clergyman with the Church of England. He wrote several books, including a second work of the Parisian press. His library was of a considerable size, and was auctioned off through Sotheby’s after his death.
