Large quarto. 698 pp. With sixteen inserted double-page plates. Publisher's quarter blue buckram over patterned natural buckram, spine printed in red and lettered and stamped in gilt, covers stamped in blind with an image of three spears. Touch of rubbing to spine, else a fine copy. With original matching patterned slipcase. Slipcase is tanned, with splitting to top edge, but still solid.
