Heedless Harry's Day of Disasters. [Cover title: Fun for Little Folks] London: Darton and Co., [c. 1846].
First edition.
Octavo. 15, [1] pp., with 9 hand-colored wood engravings. Original illustrated self-wraps, printed in red and blue; minor wear and some foxing, a few pages unopened. A very good copy.
First edition of this children's book. In the style of Heinrich Hoffman's Struwwelpeter stories, it is a cautionary tale of the dangers of careless behavior - blunt and to the point, it cautions children that death is often the final result of carelessness!
