"Nevada's Northeast Frontier is the first overall account of a region most emigrants passed by as quickly as possible. Neglected by western historians, northeast Nevada is a near-perfect area for a study of the American west. In it are found those who lived without restraint, as well as solid pioneers who came to stay and grow with the country... Those interested in Americana will find Nevada's Northeast Frontier fresh and stimulating material. While old and new contend for the country, the core of the western frontier remains firm in northeast Nevada."
