Small octavo. [viii], 353, [7] pp., including several black and white illustrations. Pictorial publisher's boards, orange spine lettered in white. Faint rubbing to extremities, but still a fine copy. Signed by the author on dedication page: "Daniel Handler [allegedly L.S.]".

Signed first edition of this popular children's tale, the twelfth book in A Series of Unfortunate Events. Copies with the author's blind-stamp are fairly common, those with his actual signature are much less so.
