Olive green publisher's cloth, spines stamped in gilt, with custom dual slipcase. Mild rubbing to extremities, small tear to one edge of map, but still a very good set, scarce in this condition.

First edition of this important work, the first comprehensive analysis of Native American tribes. The work took over 30 years to research and compile, and addresses Native American history, archeology, manners, arts, customs, language, and more.
