Larry Clark (b. 1943) is a prominent American photographer and film director, best known for directing the movie Kids and his photography books Tulsa and Teenage Lust. His works are known for their frank depiction of teenage sex, violence, and drug use. Tulsa, his first book, depicted "a part of the American psyche that had been written and sung but never made into a book of images before" (Roth), making it "one of the most talked about and important books of the decade" (Parr & Badger).
