(6.75 x 5 x 5") Nearly 11.5 pounds the pair. Gray metal with a warm bronze finish. Some minor rubbing and wear to finish, but still a very good pair.
The back of these wonderfully sturdy bookends reads: "In honor of the whaleman whose skill hardihood and daring brought fame and fortune to New Bedford and made its name known in every seaport of the globe". Modeled after a sculpture designed by Bela Lyon Pratt which stands now in front of the New Bedford Library.
