Contemporary half brown morocco over marbled boards, spine tooled in gilt in compartments with five raised bands, marbled endpapers, all edges gilt. Small bookseller's label to front pastedown of each volume. Some rubbing and minor edge-wear, corners lightly bumped, small bookseller's label to front pastedown of each volume, foxing throughout, but still very good.

An excellent copy of this remarkable set, with numerous illustrations of Shakespeare's plays accompanied by quotations and descriptions for each.
