Quarto. 161 pp., including numerous tipped-in color plates. Full black publisher's cloth, spine and front cover lettered in gilt, color illustrations onlaid to front cover, patterned endpapers. With original slipcase. Slipcase is lightly rubbed and soiled, but still very good. Book has faint rubbing to cloth and a mild odor of soap, but still near fine.
A beautifully produced limited edition tracing the history of one of the earliest and most important decks of cards.
